In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping students' understanding of civic responsibilities, political systems, and economic principles, preparing them for future academic and professional success.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Government and Commerce in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Create, distribute, and evaluate educational content including lesson notes, study summaries, and assignments.
- Maintain a tidy, orderly, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Assess and record students' academic progress regularly, providing constructive grades and actionable feedback.
- Manage student behavior and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and parent-teacher conferences to discuss student development.
- Minimum of an NCE or B.Ed. qualification in Education, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven professional experience working as a Teacher.
- In-depth knowledge of Government and Commerce subjects with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Excellent communicability, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and maintain accurate records.
