We are currently recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented Geologist specializing in construction to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the structural integrity and feasibility of various civil engineering and infrastructure projects by providing expert geological and geotechnical insights.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive geological and geotechnical site investigations to determine ground conditions.
- Assess soil, rock, groundwater, and subsurface conditions relevant to ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
- Monitor, supervise, and document drilling, sampling, and field investigation activities on-site.
- Interpret complex geological and geotechnical data to prepare detailed technical reports and actionable recommendations for project teams.
- Collaborate closely with civil engineers, project managers, and contractors to mitigate geological risks.
- Ensure all site operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Geology, Applied Geology, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Possess 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the construction, geotechnical, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated knowledge of modern geological and geotechnical investigation techniques and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex subsurface data accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
- Valid professional certifications or active membership in relevant geological bodies will be an added advantage.
