About the Role
Huko Advisory Services, a leading human capital development company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Generator Operator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining uninterrupted power supply and ensuring the optimal performance of our electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Control and monitor industrial generators and auxiliary equipment efficiently.
- Distribute power among generators and regulate electrical output according to facility demands.
- Operate and monitor generator control panels and computerized maintenance systems.
- Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs on generator systems.
- Service generators with routine oil changes and address related engine mechanical failures.
- Minimum of Trade Test 1-3 certification in a relevant technical field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a generator operator, preferably within the facility management sector.
- Strong working knowledge of AC/DC power systems, electric motors, and general electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to use specialized diagnostic tools and follow strict safety procedures to complete repairs.
