About the Role
Harvest Feed and Agro Processing Limited is a leading agricultural manufacturing company specializing in high-quality cassava products such as Venus edible starch and cassava offals. We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Generator Operator to join our factory operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for powering our production lines by ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of heavy-duty industrial generators, contributing directly to our daily agricultural processing goals.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and manage industrial diesel generators to guarantee a steady, uninterrupted power supply for factory operations.
- Conduct routine pre- and post-operation checks, monitoring fuel levels, oil pressure, temperatures, and overall generator performance.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance, servicing, and minor troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
- Promptly identify mechanical or electrical faults and report major technical issues to the maintenance supervisor.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of generator operating hours, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards, environmental guidelines, and workplace protocols within the generator house.
- Keep the generator room and surrounding areas clean, organized, and hazard-free at all times.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience operating industrial generators in a manufacturing or heavy-duty environment.
- Basic electrical knowledge or a foundational technical background is strongly preferred.
- Strong safety awareness and the ability to maintain meticulous operational records.
- Flexibility to work in shifts as required by factory production schedules.
- OND, Trade Test, or technical certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field will be a distinct advantage.
