About the Role
iRecruiters Africa is seeking a dynamic, commercially astute, and hands-on General Manager for a premier hospitality client in Nigeria. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for driving overall property performance, market positioning, and profitability while maintaining seamless communication with the Chairman and Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities- Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational and commercial plans to drive revenue growth across rooms and F&B.
- Take full ownership of the hotel's P&L, managing annual budgets, financial targets, and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Oversee daily hotel operations spanning Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, and Security.
- Champion service excellence, monitoring guest feedback and personally resolving significant service recovery situations.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of accountability and professionalism.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a strong advantage.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive hospitality experience, with at least 3 to 5 years successfully serving as a General Manager.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership, revenue management, and working directly with hotel ownership or a Board.
- Strong working knowledge of hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and departmental operations.
