About the Role
Throne 99.5 FM, a vibrant infotainment radio station located in Akute, Ogun State, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to spearhead our daily operations, strategic growth, and market expansion. Broadcasting a diverse mix of entertainment, news, and cultural programming in Yoruba, English, and Igbo, we require a visionary leader capable of elevating our brand presence and commercial success across Nigeria's competitive media landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the overall administrative, technical, and operational functions of the radio station to guarantee seamless broadcasting.
- Coordinate and manage all departments, including programming, news, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance.
- Develop and execute innovative strategies for audience acquisition, revenue generation, and digital media expansion.
- Supervise staff performance, foster a high-performance workplace culture, and provide mentorship to department heads.
- Maintain strict compliance with National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) regulations, Nigerian media laws, and company policies.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including advertisers, corporate partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor financial performance, oversee budgeting, and ensure profitability through effective commercial strategies.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in the broadcasting industry, with at least 3 years in a senior management position.
- A University degree in Mass Communication, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in radio station operations, commercial sales, and content programming.
- Exceptional leadership, crisis management, and decision-making capabilities under tight deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience in budget management and revenue growth.
