About the Role
Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE is a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, saving the lives of malnourished children, and providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to support the implementation of our country-level procurement strategy and ensure efficient supply chain operations from our Abuja office.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the strategic definition and implementation of the country procurement strategy via a detailed action plan and optimized procedures.
- Coordinate market consultations, including publishing Calls for Expression of Interest, initiating capital Calls for Tender, and conducting thorough supplier sourcing.
- Manage capital-level procurement in compliance with internal frameworks and specific donor rules while mitigating timeline risks.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through systematic market prospecting, performance tracking, and adherence to safeguarding policies.
- Ensure the high quality of delivered goods and services by closely monitoring technical specifications and managing contractual disputes.
- Enforce strict procurement compliance, actively preventing fraud and corruption risks through employee awareness and audit recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a procurement officer or in a similar supply chain role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, systems, and market analysis techniques.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience working with international NGOs or humanitarian organizations is a strong advantage.
