About the Role
Cedar Grillz & Lounge is a contemporary food and lifestyle destination in Gwarinpa, Abuja, offering delicious meals, premium grills, refreshing drinks, and a relaxed lounge experience. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to serve as the chief operating leader and custodian of our brand, culture, and financial results. In this senior leadership role, you will hold full accountability for the guest experience, team excellence, and operational discipline across our restaurant, grill, wine bar, games lounge, entertainment areas, conference rooms, and open-air spaces, positioning Cedar Grillz as Abuja’s benchmark venue.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of hospitality professionals to foster a culture of excellence.
- Own the full profit and loss (P&L) statement, including revenue growth, margin optimization, cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Oversee daily operations across the kitchen, dining floor, bar, games lounge, and entertainment sectors to ensure seamless execution.
- Implement and strictly enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), rigorous cash controls, and inventory discipline.
- Drive brand consistency, reputation management, and exceptional guest satisfaction across all touchpoints.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian health, safety, licensing, tax, and labor regulations.
- Spearhead growth initiatives such as corporate bookings, conferences, special events, and new revenue streams.
- Build scalable operational systems, training documentation, and frameworks to support future brand expansion.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or international hospitality training is a strong advantage.
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years successfully operating as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Assistant General Manager.
- Proven track record of managing P&L, leading teams of 20 or more staff, and overseeing high-volume restaurant or lounge operations.
- Demonstrated experience in launching, scaling, or repositioning hospitality venues.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, polished professional presence, and strong systems orientation.
- Flexibility to work long, unpredictable hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as the public face of the brand.
