About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and proactive General Maintenance Officer to join our esteemed team in Port Harcourt. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our luxurious environment, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities meet our exacting standards of excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and guest complaints with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Maintain accurate logs of all repair work, equipment maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and minimal disruption to guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations and hotel building codes.
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Trade Test, or relevant technical certification in a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in general facility maintenance, preferably within the hospitality or luxury service sector.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Port Harcourt.
