About the Role
CWG Engineering Limited is a wholly employee-owned engineering consulting practice specializing in 3D Laser Scanning, Engineering and Design Services, Manpower Supply, and Project Management throughout Nigeria. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Gas Cutter / Welder to join our dynamic team of professionals. In this role, you will play a vital part in executing heavy-duty fabrication and cutting tasks, ensuring that our engineering solutions meet the highest industry standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precision gas cutting, gouging, and various welding operations on structural steel and industrial components.
- Operate and maintain cutting torches, welding machines, and associated workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Inspect completed welds and cut surfaces to ensure they meet strict project specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and environmental policies while working on-site or in the workshop.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
- Proven professional experience as a Gas Cutter and Welder within the engineering, construction, or oil and gas sector.
- Strong practical knowledge of different welding procedures, cutting equipment, and techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety standards and hazard identification in industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and project specifications accurately.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and work in demanding environments.
- Relevant trade certifications or vocational training in welding and fabrication will be an added advantage.
