CWG Engineering Limited, a premier employee-owned engineering consulting practice in Nigeria, is looking for a motivated Assistant Batching Plant Operator to join our dynamic team. We specialize in delivering sustainable engineering solutions, 3D laser scanning, and project management while prioritizing our greatest asset: our people. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of our batching plant, supporting our commitment to safety, quality, and environmental excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the lead Batching Plant Operator in daily plant operations, maintenance, and setup procedures.
- Monitor raw material inventory levels and ensure proper handling and storage of aggregates, cement, and additives.
- Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict adherence to company health, safety, and environmental standards during all operational processes.
- Accurately record material usage, batch quantities, and production logs for quality control reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with site engineers, drivers, and other team members to maintain a seamless workflow.
- Minimum of a Trade Test, OND, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant hands-on experience working in a construction, manufacturing, or batching plant environment within Nigeria.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, concrete production, and heavy equipment operations.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and operational compliance.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, physically demanding construction environment.
