About the Role
Charleson Luxury Hotels is a premier 32-room resort-styled hospitality destination located in the heart of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. We are renowned for offering world-class services, luxury accommodation, an infinity pool with bar, roof gardens, and exceptional recreational spaces designed to deliver a true sense of therapy for leisure and business travelers alike. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Garden Manager to lead our landscaping and botanical maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily maintenance, care, and beautification of all hotel gardens, roof gardens, lawns, and outdoor recreational spaces.
- Design, plan, and implement new landscaping layouts that align with our luxury resort aesthetic.
- Manage a team of gardeners and groundskeepers, providing routine training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Monitor plant health, diagnose pest or disease issues, and apply appropriate organic or chemical treatments safely.
- Manage inventory of gardening tools, equipment, fertilizers, and plant supplies while adhering to budget guidelines.
- Ensure all outdoor pathways, garden seating areas, and pool surroundings are safe, clean, and welcoming for guests.
- Collaborate with the events and maintenance teams to prepare outdoor spaces for conferences, retreats, and weddings.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in landscape management, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of tropical plants, soil management, irrigation systems, and pest control techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities with strong communication skills.
- Physical stamina and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to maintaining high aesthetic standards.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
