About the Role
Lajfort Schools, a reputable institution established in 2010 with a strong commitment to academic excellence, is seeking a dedicated Further Mathematics and Physics Teacher for our secondary section in Iju, Ota, Ogun State. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds, fostering analytical thinking, and driving academic success in STEM subjects.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Further Mathematics and Physics effectively to senior secondary school students.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans in line with the approved Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that simplify complex scientific and mathematical concepts.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal exams and external examinations such as WAEC and NECO.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document students' academic progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a disciplined, safe, and positive learning environment conducive to academic growth.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development trainings, and school co-curricular activities.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline, OR a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- Mandatory proven ability to teach both Further Mathematics and Physics at the senior secondary level.
- Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is a strong added advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of cognate secondary school teaching experience is preferred.
