About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing and support services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Fuel Clerk to join our Port Harcourt operations. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate management of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) across our designated facilities and residential locations, upholding our commitment to operational excellence and stringent safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise AGO delivery operations and coordinate the utilization of the assigned 13,500-litre fuel truck and crew.
- Monitor fuel levels, daily consumption, deliveries, and conduct accurate stock reconciliations.
- Perform routine physical checks, tank dips, and ullage measurements of fuel tanks and bunkering facilities.
- Coordinate seamlessly with suppliers, procurement, and internal departments to maintain optimal fuel supply chains.
- Inspect fuel storage and dispensing facilities, ensuring proper maintenance and up-to-date tank certifications.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly fuel inventory and consumption reports.
- Maintain adequate safety stock levels and proactively plan replenishment schedules.
- Enforce strict compliance with fuel dispensing protocols, Permit to Work (PTW) guidelines, and HSE policies.
- Identify, report, and assist in the immediate remediation of spills, leaks, or loss-of-containment incidents.
- Provide operational support during ISO 14001 and other internal or external HSE audits.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in a Technical, Science, Engineering, Logistics, or related discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the oil and gas or logistics sector.
- Strong numerical aptitude, exceptional record-keeping abilities, and effective communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated understanding of fuel handling, inventory control, storage procedures, and industry HSE standards is an added advantage.
