About the Role
Turnkey Africa Ltd is the leading pan-African insurance and bancassurance technology and services provider, delivering end-to-end software solutions across the continent. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team and help ensure the highest quality of our flagship insurance platform, Evolve. In this role, you will work closely with Software Engineers and Product teams to validate APIs, test user workflows, and contribute to our growing test automation framework.
Key Responsibilities- Translate business requirements into comprehensive test cases and execute assigned REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Perform rigorous manual, exploratory, cross-browser, and responsive testing of Evolve front-end user workflows.
- Build, maintain, and execute foundational API and UI automated tests within the team framework.
- Write clear, reproducible defect reports and verify fixes through regression testing.
- Validate OpenAPI and Swagger documentation against actual API behavior to ensure seamless integration.
- Practical testing experience gained through a QA internship, rigorous coursework, or substantial personal projects.
- Solid understanding of test case creation, regression testing, exploratory testing, and the defect lifecycle.
- Basic scripting proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java with a strong interest in test automation.
- Fundamental knowledge of REST, HTTP, and JSON, coupled with hands-on exposure to Postman.
- Familiarity with modern automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is an advantage.
