About the Role
Imo Robotic Surgery and Oncology Centre Limited is a pioneering, state-of-the-art medical institution established through a strategic Public-Private Partnership with the Imo State Government. Located at the Imo State Specialist Hospital in Umuguma, Owerri, our centre is dedicated to becoming West Africa's premier hub for advanced minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive cancer care. We are currently seeking a polished, empathetic, and professional Front Desk Officer to serve as the welcoming face of our institution, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional administrative support for patients, visitors, and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and VIP guests with the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.
- Manage incoming calls, route messages promptly, and handle general inquiries regarding hospital services.
- Coordinate patient check-ins, verify appointments, and manage the electronic patient registration system accurately.
- Handle patient billing inquiries, process payments, and issue receipts in coordination with the finance department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily hospital operations.
- Handle sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Administration, Mass Communication, Humanities, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Front Desk Officer, Receptionist, or Customer Service Representative, preferably in a hospital or corporate healthcare setting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hospital management software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and patience.
- Ability to multitask, remain calm, and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment.
