About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our expansive manufacturing, warehouse, and dispatch operations by ensuring the smooth and secure movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate industrial forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack raw materials and finished goods.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-use equipment inspections to ensure optimal mechanical condition.
- Transport goods accurately to designated warehouse and production locations.
- Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines and company safety protocols at all times.
- Promptly report any equipment defects, damages, or potential safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace adhering to good housekeeping standards.
- Assist with general stock handling, physical inventory counts, and related warehouse duties as assigned.
- Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC or equivalent educational qualification.
- Possession of a valid and current forklift operator license.
- Proven experience in material handling, forklift operation, and warehouse dispatch procedures.
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail, basic inventory knowledge, and good teamwork skills.
