About the Role
FMR Agency is seeking a dedicated and competent Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Lagos Island. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our logistics operations by ensuring the safe and efficient handling, movement, and storage of goods. Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and stack cartons, clothing materials, and other warehouse items.
- Transport goods efficiently between receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch areas.
- Arrange and stack goods appropriately in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with loading and offloading trucks when required.
- Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and promptly report faults or maintenance issues.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, forklift operating guidelines, and company policies.
- Handle merchandise carefully to prevent damage during movement and storage.
- Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics personnel to support smooth daily operations.
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Valid forklift operating certification or license.
- Good knowledge of warehouse safety practices and forklift operations.
- Physically fit, attentive, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
