About the Role
Ascentech Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Port Harcourt. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing essential electrical and mechanical equipment to guarantee optimal performance, high reliability, and minimal operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on various electrical and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical faults.
- Repair, replace, and maintain faulty components, motors, pumps, machines, and industrial systems.
- Carry out seamless installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential equipment failures and emerging maintenance needs.
- Read and accurately interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and mechanical schematics.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production delays and ensure safe operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, repairs, faults, and spare parts used.
- Possess an OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, industrial machinery, and best maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using various electrical and mechanical testing and diagnostic tools.
- Prior experience working within manufacturing, industrial, oil and gas, engineering, or production environments.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and automated systems is an added advantage.
