About the Role
Sumal Foods Limited, a renowned manufacturer of quality biscuits, confectionery, and food products under the Sumal, Yale, and Vital Foods brands, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Driver. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our supply chain operations by ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of raw materials and finished goods within our warehouse and manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate industrial trucks and forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move materials around the warehouse and production floor.
- Perform daily pre-and-post-inspection checks on the forklift to ensure optimal mechanical condition and report any faults immediately.
- Stack and organize goods correctly in designated storage areas to maximize warehouse space and prevent product damage.
- Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, traffic regulations, and standard operating procedures to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and inventory clerks to verify loads and maintain accurate stock records.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, inventory counts, and material sorting as required by warehouse management.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent educational qualification.
- Valid and current Forklift Driver License and relevant driving certification.
- Proven cognate experience operating heavy-duty forklifts in a busy manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and accident prevention techniques.
- Good spatial awareness, hand-eye-coordination, and physical fitness to handle demanding warehouse tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
