About the Role
Collins American International Academy (CAIA), a prestigious Cambridge international school, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Food & Nutrition Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. In this role, you will inspire secondary students by delivering engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge Assessment International Education standards, fostering both theoretical knowledge and practical culinary skills in a well-equipped learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food and Nutrition lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum guidelines.
- Instruct students in food science, nutrition, meal planning, and safe culinary techniques.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a safe, hygienic, and organized laboratory environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Organize practical cooking sessions and guide students through internal and external examinations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall science and home economics departmental programs.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Home Economics, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably within a Cambridge or international school setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and modern culinary practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
