We are currently seeking a highly skilled Fluid Advisor to join our dynamic team in Nigeria and drive excellence in our drilling and completion operations.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate comprehensive drilling fluid, completion fluid, and cement slurry programs tailored to meet specific well objectives safely and cost-effectively.
- Prepare detailed mud, cement, and completion fluids programs in accordance with established company operating procedures.
- Develop estimated cost breakdowns for chemicals and related services for upcoming drilling and workover wells.
- Monitor daily well operations, providing continuous recommendations to optimize drilling and completion fluid efficiency.
- Ensure that all drilling fluids, completion fluids, and cement slurries are mixed and maintained according to program specifications and oilfield best practices.
- Provide expert technical assistance and immediate recommendations when unexpected drilling problems arise.
- Manage waste disposal processes to ensure full environmental compliance and adherence to local regulatory standards.
- Participate actively as a member of the emergency task force during blowouts or other critical rig-site emergencies.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant technical discipline; an MSc is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of dedicated experience in drilling fluids, completion fluids, and oilfield cement engineering across office and field environments.
- Valid BOSIET certification.
- IWCF or IADC Well Cap Level 4 certification, renewed every two years.
