About the Role
Grand Oak Limited, a leading pan-African conglomerate, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Fleet Tracking Officer to join our growing logistics team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the real-time movement of trucks transporting company products from warehouses to customers and depots, ensuring complete visibility, safety, and efficiency across all transit routes.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor all trucks in transit using advanced GPS tracking systems and fleet management platforms to track locations, movement, speed, and ETAs.
- Maintain continuous communication with drivers and transport providers to coordinate smooth transit operations.
- Escalate and manage incidents immediately, including route deviations, breakdowns, accidents, or security threats.
- Ensure transporter compliance with company standards, approved routes, journey management procedures, and valid Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance.
- Produce comprehensive daily truck movement, delivery status, depot operations, and KPI reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience in logistics, fleet monitoring, or transportation operations.
- Proficiency in GPS and fleet management systems with strong analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
