About the Role
Grand Oak Limited, a leading pan-African conglomerate committed to world-class standards and continuous improvement, is looking for a dedicated Fleet Tracking Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the real-time movement of trucks transporting company products from warehouses to customers and depots nationwide, ensuring complete visibility, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor all trucks in transit using advanced GPS tracking systems and fleet management platforms, tracking locations, speeds, and estimated arrival times.
- Maintain continuous communication with drivers and transport providers to coordinate smooth deliveries and update internal teams.
- Immediately escalate and manage transit incidents such as breakdowns, accidents, route deviations, and security threats in coordination with the security team.
- Ensure transporter compliance with company transportation standards, journey management procedures, pre-trip inspections, and valid Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance.
- Produce comprehensive daily reports on truck movements, delivery statuses, depot operations, and key performance indicators.
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience in logistics, fleet monitoring, or transportation operations.
- Proficiency in GPS and fleet management systems with strong analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
