We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Fleet Officer to oversee our day-to-day fleet operations, maintenance schedules, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining operational continuity, enforcing driver accountability, and optimizing cost control across our vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet vehicles, including licensing, documentation, and insurance status.
  • Schedule and monitor routine vehicle maintenance and servicing to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
  • Track fuel consumption and vehicle utilization rates to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate daily driver assignments, work schedules, and monitor adherence to designated route plans.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles and drivers strictly comply with relevant Nigerian road transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Investigate, document, and report any road incidents, accidents, or vehicle faults promptly.
  • Liaise efficiently with mechanics, auto vendors, and third-party service providers to secure timely and cost-effective repairs.
  • Prepare comprehensive periodic fleet performance, maintenance, and expenditure reports for management review.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing a fleet of ten or more commercial vehicles.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing GPS tracking systems or telematics software.
  • Working knowledge of modern vehicle maintenance scheduling and fleet management software.
  • Familiarity with local road transport regulations and vehicle documentation requirements in Nigeria.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills, record-keeping discipline, and effective communication abilities.
