As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly experienced and responsible Heavy-Duty Truck Driver to join our dedicated fleet. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in supporting our high-end construction projects by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials across prime locations in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks including Howo, Foton, Tipper, MAN Diesel, and concrete transit mixer trucks for material and equipment transportation.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee optimal mechanical condition.
- Navigate Lagos routes expertly, specifically targeting areas such as Ikoyi, Banana Island, and Victoria Island.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Monitor vehicles for potential mechanical faults, reporting any issues promptly to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate logs for trips, deliveries, fuel consumption, and routine vehicle maintenance.
- Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, dispatchers, and project teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of proven hands-on experience driving heavy-duty trucks within the construction sector.
- Possession of a valid and appropriate commercial Driver's License for heavy-duty vehicle operation.
- Extensive knowledge of Lagos road networks, traffic laws, and alternative routes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
