About the Role
Fort Knox Group is one of West Africa's most diversified security and financial services providers, with over 95 years of global experience. We operate from our Abuja headquarters, delivering comprehensive solutions including guard services, loan recovery, patrol systems, and vehicle tracking throughout the sub-region. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Officer to oversee our vehicle operations and ensure optimal fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day fleet operations and coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules
- Monitor vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, licensing, and insurance renewals
- Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance costs
- Supervise fleet drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and road safety regulations
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and breakdowns, implementing corrective actions
- Maintain accurate fleet records including maintenance history, registration, and fuel logs
- Negotiate with vendors for cost-effective maintenance and repair services
- Monitor fleet performance using GPS tracking and fleet management systems
- Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance and operational costs
- Recommend strategies for improving fleet efficiency and reducing expenses
- Ensure all vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and professionally maintained
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of proven experience in fleet management or transportation operations
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport regulations
- Experience supervising drivers and managing fleet documentation
- Understanding of vehicle diagnostics and preventive maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Valid driver's license with good driving experience (advantageous)
