About the Role
Sweet Nation Foods Ltd is a fast-growing manufacturer and supplier of specialty food snacks, renowned for producing over 80 delicious flavors of premium popcorn. We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Fleet Officer to oversee our growing fleet of vehicles that support our production, distribution, and field operations across Abuja. Key Responsibilities- Maintain an up-to-date register of all company vehicles, tracking vehicle documentation, comprehensive insurance policies, and licensing status.
- Schedule and proactively track routine vehicle maintenance, servicing, and urgent mechanical repairs to minimize downtime.
- Monitor daily fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle usage logs across various delivery and operational routes.
- Ensure all company drivers strictly comply with internal fleet policies and Nigerian road traffic regulations.
- Coordinate efficient vehicle allocation to support Van Sales Representatives, merchandising teams, and agricultural operations.
- Investigate and report any vehicle incidents, accidents, or policy breaches promptly to management.
- Liaise effectively with third-party vendors, certified mechanics, and insurance providers on all vehicle-related matters.
- Maintain accurate fleet cost and maintenance records to facilitate insightful management reporting.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and periodic performance evaluations of company drivers.
- Possession of an HND or BSc in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations, preferably within the FMCG or food production sector.
- Sound, practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance scheduling and comprehensive fleet documentation.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate a strong understanding of Nigerian road traffic laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern record-keeping or fleet management tools.
- Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
