About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled and safety-conscious Fleet Driver to join our client Ecovia's growing team. As a Fleet Driver, you will operate electric vehicles professionally and efficiently while transporting passengers and clients. You will play a vital role in advancing Ecovia's mission to accelerate sustainable mobility adoption across Nigeria, ensuring every journey is safe, comfortable, and environmentally responsible.
Key Responsibilities- Operate assigned electric vehicles safely, responsibly, and in compliance with Nigerian traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including tyres, brakes, lights, battery status, and charging systems
- Monitor battery levels, vehicle range, and charging status throughout assigned trips
- Charge vehicles according to approved schedules using designated charging stations appropriately
- Maintain clean, presentable vehicles and secure all equipment and accessories
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers and maintaining professional communication
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while identifying practical alternatives to minimize delays
- Immediately report accidents, breakdowns, safety concerns, and mechanical faults to operations management
- Practice defensive driving techniques and avoid harsh acceleration, excessive braking, and unsafe behaviours
- Complete accurate trip records and maintain required incident documentation
- Never operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol or substances that impair driving ability
- Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence (minimum 2 years driving experience preferred)
- Clean driving record and proven commitment to road safety
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and company procedures precisely
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting
