About the Role
FMR Agency is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to oversee key financial operations and ensure strong financial management within our growing financial services organization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing cross-border payment operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance to support our strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Manage financial accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements, including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions.
- Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews.
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable.
- Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles, with a strong focus on cross-border payments.
- Industry experience within cross-border or international financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions.
- Active ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is strictly required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Hands-on experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP.
