About the Role

Sales Force Consulting is partnering with a prominent manufacturing client to recruit an experienced Financial Controller for an urgent role based in Onitsha. We are looking for a strategic financial leader to oversee our client's financial operations, optimize liquidity management, and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard corporate assets and drive sustainable bottom-line growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively coordinate liquidity management procedures, secure well-priced credit facilities, and maximize yields on idle funds.
  • Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Coordinate operating budget preparation, monitor spending variances, and forecast future cash flow.
  • Ensure strict compliance with local financial regulations and manage seamless audit processes.
  • Initiate and maintain rigorous financial controls, recommending policies to plug loopholes and minimize financial risks.
  • Maintain an accurate asset register, oversee procurements, and manage depreciation schedules.
  • Supervise day-to-day ledger tasks, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and billing workflows.
  • Train, mentor, and direct accounting staff and junior finance personnel.
  • Conduct prompt bank reconciliations and execute monthly internal audits of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare special financial and trend reports for the CEO to facilitate strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting.
  • Must be an Associate of Chartered Accountants (ACA).
  • Minimum of fifteen years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with a strong background in the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Must be under 50 years of age.
  • Must be available for a physical interview in Onitsha within one week of application.
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
