About the Role
Opass Limited is recruiting a dynamic Financial Controller on behalf of a leading client in the hospitality industry. This hands-on senior leadership role is based in Lekki, Lagos, and requires extensive experience in hotel finance to ensure fiscal integrity, prevent revenue leakages, and meet aggressive profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full month-end and year-end accounting cycles within strict corporate deadlines.
- Prepare and interpret departmental P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements with detailed variance analyses.
- Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors to maintain year-round audit readiness.
- Supervise income audit functions, monitor food and beverage cost percentages, and oversee inventory controls.
- Ensure timely compliance with Nigerian statutory tax requirements including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Pension.
- Enforce standard operating procedures to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement across all departments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Mandatory professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or CPA.
- 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically in hospitality finance and 2 years in a management role.
- Proficiency in property management and point-of-sale systems such as Opera, Micros, and SUN Systems, alongside advanced Excel skills.
