About the Role
Qoray Mobility & Energies Limited (QMEL) is a pioneering clean energy and sustainable mobility company building innovative solutions across electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and renewable energy. Originally incubated within Sterling Bank and now operating as an independent business, we are scaling rapidly and seeking a talented Financial Controller to strengthen our finance function. In this pivotal role, you will own the numbers, establish robust financial controls, and deliver vital insights to leadership as we drive Nigeria's sustainable transport revolution.
Key Responsibilities- Own the monthly close process and deliver accurate management accounts on a strict schedule.
- Build and maintain live cash flow forecasts and comprehensive working capital dashboards.
- Establish rigorous inventory, asset, and cost controls across vehicles, batteries, and equipment.
- Model unit economics and profitability across diverse mobility and energy business lines.
- Partner closely with Operations, Commercial, and Procurement teams to embed financial discipline.
- Prepare high-quality financial reporting and analysis for investors, lenders, and executive leadership.
- 5 to 8 years of professional finance and accounting experience, preferably in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end financial control, month-end close, and management accounts.
- Strong background in cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial modelling.
- Experience with inventory, asset tracking, cost controls, tax compliance, and statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP operational finance systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Preferred experience in asset financing, FX transactions, and multi-business-line reporting.
