About the Role
Mwanga is a dynamic, tech-driven business process outsourcing company dedicated to scaling client profitability through agile and skilled execution. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Financial Accountant to act as the financial intelligence engine of our company during this exciting phase of transformation. In this role, you will protect our financial discipline, manage revenue streams, and support our overarching growth strategy with absolute precision.
Key Responsibilities- Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and quarterly financial reviews covering the full P&L, cash position, and forecasts.
- Maintain the rolling financial model, deliver scenario models, and evaluate unit economics for new service lines and client proposals.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor monthly performance, and track revenue diversification across all service lines.
- Own comprehensive bookkeeping, including the chart of accounts, fixed asset registers, bank reconciliations, and structured SharePoint document filing.
- Manage multi-currency client invoicing, accounts receivable, and rolling cash flow forecasts to provide early warnings on potential cash pressure.
- Process accurate and timely payroll alongside correct statutory deductions, petty cash, and employee expense claims.
- Ensure 100 percent compliance with Nigerian tax and statutory filings including VAT, CIT, PAYE, and pension obligations.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure, manage multi-currency reconciliations, and optimize payouts via international payment platforms.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in finance, accounting, management accounts, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Active professional qualification or ongoing progress toward ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent body.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with working knowledge of SharePoint, OneDrive, and Sage accounting software.
- Demonstrated expertise in Nigerian tax laws, statutory compliance, and multi-client billing within a service-oriented business.
