Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all business transactions are properly recorded in accordance with established accounting principles and standards.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for timely management review and strategic decision-making.
- Perform regular bank, account, and transaction reconciliations, investigate discrepancies promptly, and ensure swift resolution.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently, including invoice processing, payment tracking, collections, and maintaining up-to-date ledgers.
- Support general financial operations such as expense tracking, documentation, and critical month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures while delivering accurate financial data across departments.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
- Demonstrated practical experience working in corporate accounting and finance roles.
- Solid, hands-on understanding of core accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and payable/receivable management.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software applications.
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional numerical accuracy, and robust analytical and organizational skills.
- Active relevant professional qualifications or progress toward certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or recognized equivalents will be an added advantage.
