About the Role
Comerio Partners, a premier financial services firm located in Lagos, is looking for a driven Research Associate to support our investment management, advisory, and capital markets activities. In this role, you will deliver rigorous financial, economic, and industry research to identify growth opportunities and strengthen our market positioning across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive research on financial markets, macroeconomic trends, industries, and investment opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements, valuation metrics, and market data to assess performance and risks.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses for investment appraisals.
- Produce high-quality research reports, investment memoranda, and market intelligence briefs for stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory changes and competitive dynamics to identify emerging trends and strategic business opportunities.
- Support investment due diligence by validating financial, operational, and commercial data.
- Collaborate with investment management, advisory, and business development teams to provide actionable insights.
- Present research findings clearly to senior management and clients to guide strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant investment research experience in the capital markets space.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, company valuation, and corporate financial analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or Power BI is a strong advantage.
- Progress towards or possession of professional certifications will be an added advantage.
