About the Role

Golden Oil Industries Limited, a trusted household name in Nigeria's edible oil industry since 1988, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with the effective oversight of critical financial activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality, timeliness, and responsiveness across all financial processes. Your expertise will directly drive the financial health, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of our expanding manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, monitor, and review daily financial activities and cost statements alongside Capital Expenditure (Capex) ledgers.
  • Play an active role in the full implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Perform daily reviews of customer and vendor ledgers, including detailed aging analyses.
  • Monitor and ensure timely posting of all bank loans, interest calculations, and related transactions.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, conducting thorough monthly reconciliations.
  • Maintain traceable books and documentation for all financial transactions and commitments.
  • Resolve financial discrepancies through meticulous collection and analysis of account information for internal and external audits.
  • Perform daily bank account reconciliations and coordinate seamlessly with audit teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Active professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN.
  • Minimum of 7 years of solid experience in finance operations, treasury, payments, and FX transactions within a high-volume manufacturing or FMCG company.
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional leadership, written and oral communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
