About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company is seeking a results-driven and analytical Finance Specialist - Credit Control to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing cash flow, minimizing credit risk, and managing our extensive accounts receivable portfolio to support the continued growth of one of the world's most iconic beverage brands.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate customer creditworthiness, establish appropriate credit limits, and monitor credit utilization against approved company policies.
- Drive timely collections of outstanding receivables, track Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and execute robust collection plans for overdue accounts.
- Perform daily and monthly customer account reconciliations, ensuring accurate cash application and resolution of billing discrepancies.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service to swiftly resolve customer disputes, deductions, and short payments.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly aging reports, cash collection forecasts, and credit risk analyses for management review.
- Maintain accurate customer master data in the ERP system while ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or order-to-cash management within FMCG, manufacturing, or high-volume distribution.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with major ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
