About the Role
Pioneers Reproductive Health and Youth Association (PREHYA) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting community-driven development interventions, and ensuring transparent resource utilization across our health, WASH, and youth empowerment projects.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for ongoing projects.
- Process payments promptly and maintain thorough supporting documentation.
- Monitor project expenditures closely against approved budgets to prevent variances.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure strict compliance with donor and organizational financial procedures.
- Support the development of new budgets and financial forecasting.
- Maintain precise asset and inventory records across operational sites.
- Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits as well as donor reviews.
- Support the financial capacity strengthening of project staff and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Recognized professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in NGO finance management.
- Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded grants and ensuring compliance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern computerized accounting systems.
