About the Role
Polaris Bank Limited, a leading Systemically Important Bank in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven SME Officer to join our team in Anambra. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving economic growth by empowering small and medium-scale enterprises with innovative financial products, dedicated relationship management, and expert advisory services.
Key Responsibilities- Drive aggressive customer acquisition and seamless onboarding of SME clients to expand our regional business portfolio.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with business owners, identifying cross-selling opportunities for loans, deposits, and electronic banking solutions.
- Conduct thorough financial assessments, prepare comprehensive credit proposals, and monitor loan performance to maintain a healthy portfolio.
- Achieve and surpass assigned performance targets for loan disbursement, deposit mobilization, and non-interest revenue generation.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, operational guidelines, KYC/AML protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze local market trends and competitor activities in Anambra to uncover emerging business opportunities within the SME sector.
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of proven professional experience in SME banking, commercial sales, or business relationship management within the financial sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer acquisition, credit analysis, financial statement interpretation, and portfolio risk management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a deep understanding of the Nigerian SME landscape.
