About the Role
Beyond Credit is a technology-driven financial services company dedicated to empowering low-scale businesses across Africa with innovative insurance-backed loans, dedicated business support, and secure savings solutions. We are currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Finance Officer/Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos and play a pivotal role in driving our continued financial growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day finance operations, treasury functions, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and management accounts in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintain full regulatory and tax compliance under Nigerian tax laws.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, resolving queries and implementing recommended controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and support strategic business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience within microfinance, banking, fintech, lending, audit, or management consulting.
- Must be partly qualified with ICAN or ACCA (at least Skills Level).
- Solid working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and IFRS reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel, strong PowerPoint presentation skills, and hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or Sage.
