About the Role

TRANOS, a leading diversified engineering and technology company in Nigeria, is looking for a dynamic Finance Officer to join our high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you will go beyond routine accounting to serve as a key strategic partner to the Managing Director, providing critical financial insights, optimizing capital structures, and securing financing to fuel our continued expansion in power generation, automation, and industrial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans with 3 to 5-year projections.
  • Conduct thorough variance analysis comparing actual performance to budgets, identifying business trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models to support critical business decisions regarding pricing, capital investments, and new projects.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure optimal financing options including bank loans, asset financing, and working capital facilities.
  • Manage proactive relationships with commercial banks, financial institutions, and potential investors.
  • Maintain robust internal controls, financial governance frameworks, and ensure strict compliance with lender requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Mandatory professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or ACMA/CGMA.
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years focused on FP&A, treasury, or strategic finance.
  • Prior working knowledge of engineering, construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced Excel, financial modelling, working capital, and cash flow management.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies.
