About the Role
Tetra Tech is a leading global provider of consulting, engineering, and technical services. Our Nigeria Platform delivers vital support addressing critical development, economic, and governance challenges across the nation, working closely with federal and subnational governments on projects like SPRiNG, NEST, and NPFF. We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to support our growing financial operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Process payments to consultants and suppliers by accurately raising and coding Bank Payment Vouchers on ApprovalMax with complete supporting documents.
- Upload approved vouchers to banking platforms and file relevant records securely on Egnyte.
- Handle withholding tax (WHT) invoices, remittances, and raise journals for advance acquittals and posting corrections.
- Process monthly payrolls for net salaries and statutory deductions.
- Support internal and external audits by sourcing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure strict adherence to Tetra Tech finance manuals, donor regulations, and organizational procedures.
- A university degree (or equivalent) in accounting, financial management, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in recurring accounting, finance, and administrative activities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with UK donor (FCDO) funded projects and ApprovalMax is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong multi-tasking abilities.
