We are currently seeking a skilled Finance Officer to provide comprehensive support in bookkeeping, accounting transactions, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting to drive our continued business success.
Key Responsibilities- Update accounts payable and receivable ledgers for all vendor purchases, products, and services.
- Process invoices, requisitions, and expense retirement ledgers to ensure proper cash advance accountability.
- Prepare and update prepayments, accruals, provisions schedules, and weekly payment transaction reports.
- Conduct periodic and monthly reconciliations of all accounts to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, ensuring proper valuation, documentation, and safeguarding of company assets.
- Compute appropriate taxes and prepare records for statutory remittances including VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, and NHF.
- Collate financial information from business units, prepare trial balances, and assist in generating management reports.
- Implement internal accounting controls and ensure accuracy of general ledger codes within the ERP system.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of cognate finance experience, preferably within the ICT or a similar dynamic industry.
- Active professional certification or student membership with ICAN or ACCA.
- Sound practical knowledge of GAAP, financial policies, and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP accounting applications and advanced financial management systems.
