About the Role

Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), a leading African corporate and investment bank, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our Asset Management business in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will drive end-to-end financial, regulatory, and statutory reporting while acting as a trusted business partner to support our strategic growth across the capital markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate regulatory returns to the SEC for the business and all managed funds and portfolios.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit engagements, ensuring timely preparation of audited financial statements.
  • Oversee daily monitoring, tracking, and performance management of managed funds and portfolios.
  • Produce comprehensive management reports, including monthly Exco reports and quarterly board presentations.
  • Manage the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely remittance of taxes including VAT, CIT, WHT, and handle statutory tax audits.
  • Implement robust financial controls for accounting processes and new product developments.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN).
  • Minimum of 10 years of robust finance and accounting experience within the asset management or capital markets sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle financial reporting, IFRS applications, and SEC regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Infoware experience is an advantage) and advanced Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
