About the Role
The Emel Group, one of Nigeria's leading business conglomerates with over four decades of excellence, is seeking a results-driven Finance Manager to join our corporate headquarters in Lagos. In this vital role, you will direct our financial operations, ensuring robust internal controls and comprehensive statutory compliance while partnering with senior management to drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in all general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
- Ensure timely filing and payment of statutory taxes including VAT, WHT, CIT, and PAYE, while monitoring changes in Nigerian tax laws.
- Liaise seamlessly with tax consultants, external auditors, and regulatory authorities to manage corporate compliance.
- Identify financial risks, implement robust corrective measures, and provide actionable financial insights for executive decision-making.
- Supervise, mentor, and foster professional development within the Finance and Accounts team.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial and accounting experience, with proven supervisory or managerial capability.
- Comprehensive, hands-on knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and statutory compliance frameworks.
