About the Role
HerVest is a social enterprise providing financial inclusion for women through a Gender Lens Investment (GLI) approach, committed to improving women's lives through greater access to financial services. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Finance Lead to oversee financial planning, reporting, treasury management, and statutory compliance while supporting our overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements and management reports.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, managing vendor relationships and monitoring loan repayments with the credit team.
- Develop and implement treasury strategies to maintain optimal liquidity for customer withdrawals and operational expenses.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process, conduct variance analysis, and support financial forecasting.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory regulations including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and pension remittances.
- Design and maintain robust internal control systems and coordinate annual external audits.
- Perform product profitability analysis across loans, savings, and investments to support executive decision-making.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory.
- Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong background in FinTech, digital lending, microfinance, or financial services.
