About the Role
Pagatech Limited is looking for a driven and analytical Finance Intern to support our dynamic finance team in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded in 2009 with a mission to digitize cash and bank the unbanked across Africa, Paga is an innovative mobile payments platform transforming how people transact. Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations.
- Review and process expense reports, vendor invoices, and payments efficiently.
- Participate in preparing management reports and financial statements.
- Conduct basic financial analysis and assist with compliance checks for internal and external audits.
- Contribute to administrative finance tasks and process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with modern accounting software.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, high integrity, and a proactive attitude toward learning.
