About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited, a premier hospitality consultancy company based in Lagos, is looking for a dedicated Audit / Cost Control Officer to join our dynamic operations. Since 2009, we have elevated standards across major hotels in Nigeria by delivering exceptional management and financial oversight. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding company assets, monitoring daily revenues, and ensuring strict compliance with financial policies across all hospitality departments.
Key Responsibilities- Review daily sales across rooms, restaurants, bars, and laundry, reconciling revenue with physical collections and system reports.
- Monitor operational costs, purchasing prices, and inventory levels to identify wastage and prevent revenue leakages.
- Conduct regular stock counts, investigate inventory variances, and ensure proper receiving and issuing of supplies.
- Perform daily and night audits to verify occupancy rates, room pricing, discounts, and payment settlements.
- Reconcile cashier reports, POS transactions, and bank transfers while promptly reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Compare actual departmental expenses against approved budgets and provide actionable cost-saving recommendations.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls and prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven audit or cost-control experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial software, property management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to detail and absolute integrity.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management, procurement auditing, and revenue assurance processes.
