About the Role
1860 Travels Limited, a premier travel company registered under the laws of Nigeria and a proud member of NANTA, is seeking a dynamic Finance & Business Development Officer. In this hybrid role, you will champion both financial management and commercial expansion, helping our agency optimize profitability while securing high-value corporate partnerships within the travel and tourism sector.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and oversee daily income, expenses, payables, and receivables.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, cash-flow forecasts, and management summaries to support strategic decisions.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new revenue opportunities, corporate accounts, and strategic B2B partnerships.
- Conduct market research, track competitor pricing, and develop competitive commercial proposals and quotations.
- Analyze transaction margins across flights, hotels, and tours to recommend effective pricing and cost-control strategies.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, and management teams to elevate overall business performance.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in finance, business development, commercial operations, or the travel and hospitality industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, Microsoft Excel, and fundamental accounting principles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- High attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in travel agencies, airline ticketing, or corporate travel sales is a distinct advantage.
